What three words would I use to describe my Project Pinstripe partners?
Pam – Genuine, Strategic & Determined
Lesly – Resourceful, Caring & Reliable
If you had a slogan as a mother, what would it be?
“Put in the effort” I always remind my children in everything they do. You must “Put in the Effort” to make the difference!
What motivates you to spend time volunteering your time to run Project Pinstripe?
My motivation for Project Pinstripe has changed over the years. When I started, I did it because I grew up being the person who would have benefited from a program like PP. Now, as this is still a motivating factor, my main purpose is to teach my children the importance of giving back, not only monetarily but your time and effort.
Relate a personal story to Project Pinstripe and why you enjoy doing it?
When I first started in the career world, I had to shop at Goodwill. I understood the hardship of knowing the importance of dressing for success but not being able afford it.
Do you feel like you have made an impact as a professional stylist?
I would like to think that is a hard yes! I believe confidence is felt from within. There is no better feeling than witnessing a client transform the way he carries himself because he feels more confident being well-dressed. I have been doing this for 20 years, I still consider it the best job in the world.
What do you enjoy most about motherhood?
I am most thankful to experience what it feels like to love your children completely unconditionally.
